The little pug that did!

WE HAVE MORE GREAT NEWS!!

Stella_K9C_Adopted

Stella’s foster Mom tearful reports, “She arrived scared, sad, emaciated, parasite ridden, full of rotting teeth and in dire need of love, compassion, patience, lots of vetting, a quality diet and many skin treatments. The result is a pug as beautiful as any I have ever seen. She is off to her new forever family this weekend, taking a piece of my heart with her….but I will always remain Stella’s fairy pug mother.

It looks like Princess Stella will be leaving the building to join her very patient “furever” family this weekend. It has been a long haul, and these amazing folks have been incredibly supportive as we worked to bring this sweet pug back to health.

Never again will she have to wander the streets, covered in fleas, emaciated, full of worms, suffering from chronic untreated ear infections and painful rotting teeth, scrounging for a mere morsel of food. She came to us weighing in at 16lbs, and is leaving us at a whopping 28lbs. Her dental issues are no more as all her rotten teeth have been removed, her severe flea allergy dermatitis (aka elephant skin) has almost disappeared, and her ears are finally both NORMAL now. It took us awhile to get her here, but it was so worth the time, effort and care as she is a completely different dog.

The girl who didn’t know how to play is a ball of joy now, wanting nothing but nonstop play, which is great as she will have two fur-siblings to torment with her new-found energy. Here are some photos of Stella’s journey with us…we are so proud of our girl…and could not be happier to send her on to a whole new life with this incredible family who have loved her from the very first day they met her last August. Have a LONG, HAPPY and HEALTHY life Princess Stella.
